Douglas Kruger wows City of Roses at business breakfast event
Speaking at the Business Breakfast with Douglas Kruger event on Wednesday morning at the Bloemfontein Rambler’s Club, Kruger presented compelling stories from well-known individuals and organisations who are known as brand leaders in their respective industries. Kruger outlined the similarities between names like popular chef Nigella Lawson, Virgin Active’s Richard Branson and skateboarder Tony Hawk among many others and explained why and how these names stand out more in their industries than their counterparts do.
He further explained the value that companies and individuals stand to benefit from just by positioning themselves as experts. This provided many benefits, which ranged from the income experts have as well as how different their sales and marketing strategies are from those who are yet to position themselves as experts.
He also gave ten points on how to go from being an amateur to an expert through his humorous, well researched and informative presentation.
Kruger helps organisations to innovate, break their own rules and disrupt industry norms in order to position themselves as leading brands. He will release his seventh book, titled What makes them great, later in August this year. This event was hosted and organised by Pink Lemon Design, which was founded by Reneë Beck. Her speciality is business events and she has more than ten years’ experience in organising events.
The event, with Kruger as guest speaker, was Beck’s first under Pink Lemon Design and was attended by more than 80 distinguished guests from Bloemfontein. Vodacom, Bloemfontein Courant, Creative Kilowatt Productions and Urban Brew were among the companies that partnered on this event and provided support to Beck with her first event.
